Striped Bass & Bluefish Fishing Charters
Fishing Trip Length: 10hr, 8hr, or 5hr booking required
Time of year: Striped bass show up in our local waters in the middle of May and mostly depart in early September. We typically tell clients to target them mid-May through end of July.
What to expect: On a 10hr striped bass fishing trip we will be leaving the dock early in the morning, typically in the dark, and returning around 3pm. We travel an average of 20 miles offshore (or wherever the best bite is) and either fish live bait or troll.
On an 8hr trip we may head offshore a bit depending on the bite location. The time we leave the dock depends on the tide for the day. If the bite is amazing inshore we typically to a combination of live bait and trolling several different areas to have the best possible trip.
On a 5hr trip we typically target one area inshore and we are either bait fishing or trolling. The time we leave the dock depends on the tide for the day.
Daily Bag Limit: Striped bass 1 fish between 28-31 inches per person on the charter. Fish under 28 inches or over 31 inches will be let go which is still a lot of fun! Bluefish regulations adjusted yearly.

Trip Length: Full day 10 hr booking required
Time of year: Bluefin tuna filter into our area in June and stay for the remainder of the year. Typically the best time of year to fish for these insane fish is July-October, however some years the middle to end of June can be fantastic!
What to expect: On a 10hr full day tuna trip we will be leaving the dock early in the morning, typically in the dark, and returning around 3pm* (see daily bag limit below). We travel an average of 20 miles offshore (or wherever the best bite is) and either fish live bait or troll. If there are feeds going on we may even cast some. These fish are typically between 80-1200lbs and fight like nothing else!
When the fish are averaging over 200lbs we typically fish with 130lb reels out of the gunwale and everyone on board gets a turn since the average fight time is about 1 hr. This is an adventure of a life time. We see whales daily, we catch a variety of bait fish, battle through sharks occasionally, and fight sea monsters! This is our most popular charter!
Daily Bag limit*: Tunas under 73 inches can be kept for food up to the daily bag limit which are set in place before the season begins. If it is a designated commercial day and we obtain our boat limit of fish over 73 inches for the day we are not allowed to keep fishing. We go back to the dock and celebrate a jumbo on deck! 20% of the sell price of the commercial fish is given back to the charter. Typically we receive payment from the buyer within 3-4 weeks after landing. Please call to learn more about the daily bag limits for tuna since it is updated monthly.

Time of year: Bottom fishing for haddock, cod, pollock, red fish, cusk, whiting is good all season. We typically do the majority of our bottom fishing between mid-May and end of June which seems to be the prime time however you can catch bottom fish year round.
What to expect: On a 10hr full day bottom fishing trip we will be leaving the dock early in the morning, typically in the dark, and returning around 3-4pm depending on our daily bag limit. We travel an average of 20 miles offshore (or wherever the best bite is) and either fish with clams or jig with artificials. We can target more than one area on a 10hr trip to increase the odds of bringing home lots of meat.
On a 8hr 3/4 day bottom fishing trip we will be leaving the dock early in the morning, typically in the dark, and returning around 2pm depending on our daily bag limit. We travel an average of 12 miles offshore and either fish with clams or jig with artificial lures. We sometimes can target more than one area depending on distance due to time constraints.

Trip Length: 10hr booking required
Time of year: Sharks are here year round however we typically offer shark trips end of July through September. Some of the best shark catches actually happen during tuna fishing!
What to expect: On a 10hr full day tuna trip we will be leaving the dock a little before sunrise and returning around 3pm. We generally catch some bottom fish while shark fishing. We travel an average of 25 miles offshore (or wherever the best bite is) where we chum and drift. The majority of the sharks are blue sharks, but we get the occasional mako, thresher, and porbeagle shark. These sharks are typically between 80-600lbs and fight great on 30-50lb tackle.
Daily Bag limit*: We typically let sharks go but if you choose to keep one, Porbeagle and thresher sharks have to be over 54 inch fork length, one per vessel. We do not keep blue sharks and makos are prohibited. Please call to learn more about the daily bag limits for tuna.

Children’s Trip or Boat Cruise
Trip Length: 3hr booking required
Time of year: Year round
What to expect: We generally leave the dock in the afternoon but are somewhat flexible. The kids trips are geared towards children under 12 years old. We generally will drop some bottom fishing or bait fishing rods close to shore and see what we catch. We recommend they bring their own life jackets however we have some available. Children under 13 years old must wear a life jacket no matter how far offshore we go. If we have lobster pots or crab traps in the water we may pull one. We also let the kids drive the boat a little (wink wink).
The boat cruises we typically leave the harbor and drive either north or south near the coast line on a slow pace and do a loop back to the dock.
